Dare I make an entrance?

It's Sarah! I don't have any cute pics to add because all the cute pics are sleeping. I'm watching some awful Wayans family sitcom on Star TV because it's in English and I understand it. And 8:30 is too early to go to bed...

ok, if I can figure it out, I will post a pic of someone cute. We have shuttle buses that leave the compound to the grocery store, downtown, etc. I had Emm in the backpack during a shopping trip last week, and he fell asleep, so I just left him in there.

  1. Hey Sar --

good to hear your voice. it's a chilly wet labor day in Portland. We have no plans although we've talked with a few folks. This would have definantely been a Pearlz/Ferdig day had you been in Portland.

The house is coming together. I finished most of the electrical work and we spent most of yesterday putting up our art work. Next is the little fixtures such as widow locks, door stops, etc...,etc... New carpet upstairs. I'm sitting in my big cushy chair finally thinking, ahhh...what a wonderful house. My gutters area calling me, as is the yard. At least I need to get the gutters clean before it really starts raining.

Work is work. Kids start school this week, which we're all excited about. Safeway is way tore up, looks like a bomb went off. We went on a little hike through Reed Canyon the other day with an old Mercy Corps friend. It was great, the kids loved the exploring, then we hoofed up to the Delta Cafe. Another Pearlz moment, had you been here.

    Glad we're in touch.

  2. Hi Sarah

Sorry this is my first note to you. Although - I guess it isn't like you were used to hearing from me every day before. = ).

So - I am blinking tears away as I type because I just helped Max on the bus for his first day of Kindergarten. I think I was more alarmed than he was - which I guess is good. I hope he has good things to say tonight - or it might be hard to get him back on that bus Thursday... Sam starts preschool next week - where does the time go??

Charlie was in his glory this past weekend. We had a cribbage tournament. So it was a day of cards and competition. I will have you know though this his sister took first place, and I second (out of ten). Girls rule, Boys drool. My boys take offense to this phrase and remind me that Elli is the drooler around here.

I am glad to hear things are going well there. We are living vicariously through you - so keep up the adventures for us!

    Miss you!!

    Lynn
